The International Day of Forests (IDF) is an annual celebration held every 21st day of March to raise awareness on the importance of all types of forests and their role in poverty alleviation, environmental sustainability, and food security. With this year’s theme, “Forest restoration: a path to recovery and well-being”, the staff and faculty members of the Institute of Renewable Natural Resources (IRNR), led by Dr. Vida Q. Carandang, premiered a video message for IDF 2021. Due to the prevailing global health crisis, mass gatherings and face-to-face activities are restricted.
