Carandang and Gascon retire after fruitful years of service to UPLB and the nation

Dr. Myrna G. Carandang, UPLB Registrar and Professor of the Institute of Renewable and Natural Resources, officially retires (compulsory) after 44 years of service. She served as University Registrar for 13 years and College Secretary for 9 years. A graduate of BS in Applied Mathematics, she joined CFNR in 1976 as a Research Assistant. She pursued Forest Resources Management for her Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy and helped develop the field of Forest Biometry. She will leave the legacy of digitizing students’ records as the College Secretary of CFNR, in the forefront of implementing the UPLB SystemOne and Student Academic.
